🍝 For the Creamy Spaghetti:
- 250g (9 oz) spaghetti
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- 1/4 cup reserved pasta water (to thin sauce if needed)
Optional Ingredients:
- Red chili flakes (for a spicy kick)
- Mushrooms (sautéed with steak or garlic)
- Lemon zest (for a fresh touch in the sauce)
- Spinach or arugula stirred into pasta
- Shredded mozzarella (for extra creaminess in pasta)
Instructions:
Step 1 – Cook the Spaghetti:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions.
- Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
Step 2 – Make the Creamy Sauce:
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Pour in heavy cream and simmer 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Add spaghetti and toss to coat. Thin with pasta water if needed. Keep warm.
