Janet Strawberry Pie Recipe

Preparation:

Put the crushed strawberries in a pot with 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar. Boil for 2 minutes.

Dissolve the cornstarch in a little water and add to the crushed strawberries. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.

Remove from heat, add the uncooked sliced strawberries to the mixture, and pour into the pie crust.

Let cool at room temperature, then refrigerate until the filling sets.

Garnish with whipped cream before serving.
