• 4 large eggs.

• 1/2 Cup.Of granulated sugar.

• 1 Tsp.Of pure vanilla extract.

• 1/4 Tsp.Of ground nutmeg.

• Pinch of salt.

For the caramelized sugar top:

• 2 Tbsp.Of water.

PREPARATION:

1 – Prepare your oven by preheating it to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (160 degrees Celsius).

2 – In a saucepan set over medium heat, bring the milk up to a temperature where it is just beginning to steam. Take care not to let it come to a boil.

3 – Combine the eggs, sugar, vanilla essence, powdered nutmeg, and a little bit of salt in a mixing dish using a whisk. Pour the warmed milk in a slow stream into the egg mixture while whisking it continually to prevent the eggs from curdling.

4 – To get a silky texture in the finished product, pass the custard mixture through a sieve with a very fine mesh. Place the custard in ramekins or a baking dish, depending on your preference.
